The location of the rooms vary:
Deluxe rooms with a bath are quietly located near the patio, twin A rooms with shower are located both near the patio and around the back of the hotel (some twin A rooms are connecting rooms) and twin B rooms with shower overlook the pleasant shopping street of De Koog.
Food & beverage
Breakfast is served in the adjacent Restaurant Cooghen.
Texel is the largest of the Wadden islands, with more than 13000 inhabitants - 1300 of which reside in the picturesque seaside resort De Koog. The beach is within walking distance and boasts nearly half of all the tourist accommodations.
Den Burg is the largest village of Texel and is the place to go to catch a movie. The newest village is De Cocksdorp, located in the North. The characteristic town of Den Hoorn - home to the world famous malt whisky connoisseur, Willem Ham - is certainly worth a visit. In the harbour of Texel at Oudeschild you can catch shrimps. The smallest village is De Waal with only 250 inhabitants.
Texel's countryside is beautiful in all seasons. The picturesque villages, cosy cafés and restaurants, the nature, fresh air and space make the island an ideal location for relaxing. Once having visited Texel, guests always come back.
A ferry leaves Den Helder every hour between 06:30 and 21:30.
The crossing takes roughly 20 minutes. On Sundays and bank holidays, the ferry service begins one or two hours later, depending on the season.
Once you're on the island, follow the signs for De Koog. Entering De Koog, follow the curve to the right. After the gas station turn left (Nikadel). Follow this street until the crossing (Badweg). Sandton Hotel de Cooghen is on your left hand side. The entrance to our private parking is behind the hotel, next to the Internet café.

Extra bed on request possible upon availability at EUR 30 p.p.p.n.
Dogs allowed (maximum 1) at EUR 5 per night. It is not allowed to leave the dog unattended in the room.
Cancellation
If cancelled up to 31 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled up to 14 days before date of arrival, 15 percent of all nights will be charged.
If cancelled up to 7 days before date of arrival, 35 percent of all nights will be charged.
If cancelled up to 3 days before date of arrival, 60 percent of all nights will be charged.
If cancelled up to 1 day before date of arrival, 85 percent of all nights will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.
Children and extra beds
All children are welcome.
All children under 2 years are charged EUR 10.00 per night and person for cots.
All older children or adults are charged EUR 30.00 per night and person for extra beds.
Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
