Opening its doors in 2006, the building has been carefully restored so that it retains its original splendor . The utilisation of original materials and the preservation of architectural features enhance the traditional element. This is successfully fused with a host of modern amenities.

All apartments boast independent entry and offer optimum levels of peace and privacy. Each sleeps 2-4 people and is tastefully decorated in a rustic fashion. Each is bright, airy and features an array of modern facilities.

The hotel only provides buffet breakfast. In the vicinity is an assortment of restaurants, ranging in style and price. The hotel is situated in Sasso Barisario between the restaurant The Botteghe and The Mole.

By Car:

There are 2 main roads which take you to the hotel,

-Access the Municipal park of XX Settembre street (in the centre of the city); it is the easiest way for people arriving from Bari, Taranto or Matera Nord.

- Follow signs to Addozio, with access to the Sasso Barisano; pass the church of Sant'Agostino (on your left) and continue for approximatively 300 metres downwards.

- You will reach the main intersection of the Sassi (you will recognise it for a fountain on the left and the Restaurant Le Botteghe ).

- Turn right and continue for approximately 10 metres.

- You will see the balcony of the Residence at number 259 Fiorentini street.

The second entry for those arriving from Potenza, Metaponto or Matera Sud.

- From Ridola street (next to the Building of the Province) the road brings you to the hotel through the Sasso Caveoso and the Madonna of the Virtues street .
