A little outside Dresden, you will find this historical guest house set in amongst idyllically beautiful surroundings, with a friendly and professional service in a classy and sophisticated environment.

Warm hospitality and openness are very important to us. In 1995, our building was carefully restored and today shines behind a listed façade as an individual country hotel of high standards.

Sleep and dine in comfortable historical rooms. The rural idyllic surroundings are also ideal for conferences or seminars. As a family-run country hotel, we are among the oldest and most well-known guest houses in Dresden. As early as in July 1679, we received official permission to offer Dresdner beer and wine.

The Baumwiese hotel is one of the oldest and best known guesthouses in Dresden. In July of 1679 the bar was already selling local beer and wine.

The building complex was completely restored in 1995 and boasts a beautiful landmarked façade. Today, the Baumwiese celebrates a new brilliance as a historical guesthouse and, as a truly individual country hotel, welcomes you with high-class interiors and a modern design.

Our 36 comfortable rooms are individually equipped with all common modern facilities. The 3 spacious apartments have a living and bedroom as well as a kitchen, a bathroom and a separate toilet.

In the 3 areas of our historical Landgasthaus and under the lime tress of our garden bistro, you can relax and enjoy our acknowledged regional cuisine.

By Car:
- Coming from Chemnitz / Berlin, take motorway A4 to the exit towards Wilder Mann and then turn right in the direction of Moritzburg.
- After approximately 1 km, you will see us (the first house on your right-hand side, after the woods). At the traffic lights turn right into our parking lot.

- Coming from Dresden’s city centre:
- From Bahnhof Dresden-Neustadt, follow the Großenhainer Straße towards Moritzburg or Autobahn Dresden “Wilder Mann”.
- From the motorway it is approximately 1 km until you can see us on your right-hand side. At the traffic lights, turn right into our parking lot.

- Coming from Meissen:
- Coming from Meissen you will travel along the right side of the Elbe River in the direction of Coswig / Radebeul. Always following the main road until you reach the junction Ortsmitte Radebeul (Meißner Strasse/August-Bebel-Straße). Here, turn left into August-Bebel-Straße in the direction of Moritzburg / Autobahn Dresden „Wilder Mann“.
- Follow the main road for approximately 1 km to the next junction. Now you will see us on the other side of the road.

By Plane:
The airport is located 6 km from us. You can take public transportation by bus 77 and exit at stop Ahlbecker Straße. Here, change onto bus 80 and exit at stop Baumwiese, directly on our door step.

Or you can take bus 425 (small bus) and exit at stop Baumwiese, right in front of our house. Please note that this bus operates Monday through Friday only.

By Train:
Bahnhof Dresden-Neustadt train station is approximately 6 km away. Take tram 3 to the last stop Wilder Mann and change onto bus 80 in the direction of Klotzsche and exit at stop Baumwiese. Or you can use bus 326 and exit at stop Baumwiese.

If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later, 80 percent of the first night will be charged.
In case of no-show, the first night will be charged.
