Offering a charming and elegant ambiance in the heart of the Gastein Valley, the Art Nouveau jewel “Jagdschlössl” (hunting lodge) is a picturesque hideaway in an idyllic location.

With only 9 newly renovated suites and rooms, this historic hunting lodge of the aristocracy offers a very private atmosphere. In the mornings you will be pampered with a sumptuous “late riser” breakfast buffet in the sunny, historic parlours. The lodge is an excellent starting point for all kinds of sports and leisure activities in winter as well as in summer. Skiers will appreciate the proximity to the slopes of the famous local ski resorts.

The enchanting Jagdschloessl wellness pavilion is reserved for your private use and features a sauna, an aromatic steambath, a solarium, a rain shower, Kneipp massage jets, a heated tile bench and, free of charge, various soothing teas and our own mountain spring water.

In 2005 and 2006, all our rooms and suites were lovingly furnished by professional cabinetmakers with an eye for the smallest details.

Enjoy a sumptuous, rich breakfast buffet in the wonderful, historic hunting parlours close to the tiled stove oven and the library, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. In the afternoon, the typically Salzburg wooden parlour or the charming "Herzerl Bar" are popular places to enjoy a glass of wine.

The Valley of Gastein presents itself as the perfect winter resort, where you can find 2 large ski arenas as well as the Sportgastein resort area (skiing from 1,600 to 2,700 metres above sea level, until May 01) and the Graukogel ski area. The region features more than 200 km of groomed slopes, almost 100 km of cross-country ski runs, floodlit toboggan runs, an ice-skating rink, curling, après ski, romantic horse-drawn sleigh rides, and 2 world-famous hot spring spa resorts open all year round. Your ski pass will enable you to also use more than 800 km of ski runs in the whole region of Ski Amadé in Salzburg, as well as in Styria.

Spring, summer and fall in the valley invite you to a number of activities such as golf, tennis, horseback riding, paragliding, mountain biking, hiking and trekking (there are more than 40 huts offering drinks and meals).

Salzburg and Kitzbühel can be reached within a 1-hour drive, and the Großglockner (Austria’s highest mountain) is only 40 minutes away). In Bad Gastein you can try your luck at the local casino.

Coming from Salzburg, you drive through the valley, straight ahead to Bad Hofgastein. At the first roundabout, continue going straight ahead for about 1 km, until you see the Peugeot car dealer "Auto Brugger" on the right-hand side. 50 m on, turn right and continue on this road for about 500 m, then you will already see the Jagdschlössl in front of you .

Coming from Carinthia, you take the car-train from Mallnitz to Böckstein (it is a 10-minute ride through the tunnel) and continue driving straight ahead through the valley to Bad Hofgastein as far as the Schlossalm-Bahn. About 100 m on, turn left and continue on this road for about 500 m, then you will already see the Jagdschlössl in front of you .

All children under 2 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All children from 3 to 5 years are charged EUR 20.00 per night and person for extra beds.
All children from 6 to 12 years are charged EUR 30.00 per night and person for extra beds.
All children from 13 to 15 years are charged EUR 40.00 per night and person for extra beds.
All older children or adults are charged EUR 55.00 per night and person for extra beds.
Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
